FAQ

WILL MEETINGS/EVENTS BE HELD IN PERSON OR VIRTUAL?

Meetings and events will be, for the most part, virtual this semester. We will interact via Zoom, Instagram, and any other outlets that will give us the opportunity to make the experience of the members the best that it can be. With that being said, whenever we feel that it is safe to do so, we will try to host meetings in person, but to a limited capacity.

The University of Texas at Arlington event guidelines for COVID-19:

- Large events are not permitted.
- No academic classrooms will be used to host events since classes are the priority.
- Indoor events should not exceed 25% venue/room capacity, and are restricted to current state and local health authority guidelines, and social distancing requirements.
- Outdoor events are restricted to 10 people or less according to Executive Order No. GA-28 and local health authority guidelines.
- Events open to the general public are allowed, with additional review and approval by the respective dean/vice president and venue manager.

HOW WILL PAMILYAS WORK?

Pamilya requirements: Pay membership fee and fill out pamilya interest form.

If you do not fill out the pam interest form or pay membership, you will not be considered to be put in a pam. All pamilyas will meet virtually and pamilya leaders will hold their events according to the comfortability of their ates/kuyas/adings.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO SPORTS?

Due to the university guidelines right now, sports is on a pause for right now. Our sports coordinators have an interest form for anyone wanting to do sports at any point in time during this school year, so sign up for that for more information.
Refer to the sports page for further information!

The University of Texas at Arlington sport guidelines for COVID-19:

- The field complex has no set opening date as of right now. Updates and announcements will be made on the sports website.
- Intramural sports calendar has been modified. The only team sports that will be playing this semester is a modified version of indoor soccer.
- The rest of the sports will be individual sports that allow for social distancing. The schedule can be found at uta.edu/intramuralsports.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MODERN/KULTURA DANCE?

All of dance will be done virtually. Modern dance will be hosting workshops via instagram and zoom that you may attend and follow along in the comfort of wherever you are staying. There is a dance studio in Arlington with FSA alumni teaching that we will continue to promote on our socials if you wish to decide to take in person classes at your own risk. Kultura will be hosting various cultural workshops throughout the semester. You will see things like dance, history, etc.
Refer to the modern/kultura page for further information.

IS GOODPHIL STILL HAPPENING?
